We answer your questions about:

Our Materials

¿Where can I find out more about the materials Kala uses?

The material is the starting point for every Kala garment.
We select natural or responsibly sourced fabrics based on their structure, drape, and performance over time.

In some cases, we also work with materials already available in the workshop to ensure they are used and to reduce surplus.

You can find out more about our processes and decisions in the Our Materials section—a journey through the fabrics, textures, and crafts that shape the Kala archive.

SIZING and care

How to choose the right size

Choosing the right size is part of the dialogue between the garment and the person wearing it. Each Kala piece is designed to accompany movement freely, without stiffness or excess.

You can find the size guide just below the garment colors. There you will find the measurements taken directly in the workshop, with the same precision with which we trace each pattern.
Kala's proportions follow a balanced fit, designed to accompany growth and individual expression.

Do the garments shrink? Should I choose a larger size?

Kala fabrics are selected for their stability and resistance. Each material undergoes internal testing before the garments are made, to ensure a durable result and a consistent feel with use.
Therefore, they do not shrink noticeably if washed according to the care recommendations.
If you are unsure between two sizes, you can decide based on the intended movement: a larger size will offer more room and freedom; the usual size will offer a more precise and structured silhouette. In both cases, the pattern is designed to retain its shape and accompany growth naturally.

How should I care for my Kala garment to preserve its shape and texture?

Each Kala garment is designed to stand the test of time.
In the Technical Specifications section for each product, you will find specific care recommendations based on the actual behavior of each fabric in the workshop.
The fabrics—structured cottons, linens, or twills—retain their shape if washed in cold or warm water, with a gentle spin cycle and natural drying. Avoid using a dryer: the material is best preserved when it breathes.
Light ironing, always inside out, enhances the texture without altering the structure.

With this minimal care, the garment will retain its original shape and texture, accompanying the passage of time without losing its character.

If you have any questions about care or maintenance, you can write to us at info@kala.es and we will respond as soon as possible.
